The natural refrigerant R290, also known as propane, is already used in many appliances such as refrigerators, aerosols, and others. In this case, we use it to produce heating, cooling, and domestic hot water for your home. Why?

All our water-to-water heat pumps have variable-speed compressors and inverters, allowing us to adapt the power of our heat pump to the demands of the home with the widest modulation range in the market. Moreover, with a single unit, we can heat or cool the entire house. HIGHEST PERFORMANCE

The seasonal performance factor (SPF) increases considerably since the heat pump adjusts the power to demand variations, avoiding the use of the compressor at maximum power most of the time. This translates into greater savings compared to the competition and a longer lifespan.

Superheat System

The Superheat system allows us to increase and almost double the performance of the heat pump by harnessing the extra energy extracted from the home and the compressor to simultaneously produce DHW while heating or cooling. Additionally, this allows us to heat water up to 70ºC without the need for electric resistance, and it is essentially “free.”

Furthermore, by installing a 3-way valve, we can heat the swimming pool for free when the heat pump is providing cooling. Similarly, just like with DHW, we can heat the pool while heating the house.

We achieve this by installing an intermediate heat exchanger that utilizes the heat generated in the compressor discharge during heating, and the heat extracted from the home during cooling.

PHOTOVOLTAIC HYBRIDIZATION

Volta heat pumps incorporate the management of hybridization with systems that generate electricity from renewable sources.

In case of excess electricity production, the heat pump activates and modulates its power to consume only the excess electrical energy, achieving a “zero” balance between production and consumption. This is only possible thanks to Volta’s advanced control strategies and the performance and modulation capacity of Volta heat pumps.

If at the time of solar surplus the house is already at the designated temperature, the heat pump adjusts the surplus settings (previously configured), taking advantage of this surplus and converting electrical energy into thermal energy, achieving a conversion of 1 kW electrical to 4-5 kW thermal, and introducing this excess energy into the house (raising the house temperature or increasing the DHW temperature), thus avoiding the use of batteries to harness these surpluses, resulting in significant savings.
